Beware: not all junk email is actually junk

The other day I received an email from a professional services firm I’d emailed about a month ago.

I’d been enquiring about buying some tax advice but my email had gone unanswered so I went elsewhere.

The guy I’d emailed apologised for not getting back earlier but said my email had gone straight to his junk folder (charming!) and he’d only just noticed it.

His over-active spam checker cost him a few thousand pounds in lost business!

So out of interest, I checked my own junk file only to find 7 replies to various newsletters we’d sent out. I replied to them all (apologies if you were one of them – it won’t happen again). *looks down in shame*

The moral of the story is: if you’re in sales it’s probably worth checking your junk email folder every now and then.
